Boko Haram says it has seized Nigerian girls from Chibok, because it thinks they should be married away rather than being in school. The statement is credited to the terror group's leader, Abubakar Shekau, derived from the translation of a video released by the group and published by the BBC.
Some observers say the reason given by the terror group is understandable going by the meaning of 'Boko-Haram' that translates to 'Western education is forbidden.' Conversely, people say that the terror group's grouse against Nigeria is Nigerians embrace of western education and civilization.
"But is it not a sign of derangement and lacking of of reason to say the reason for seizing innocent girls is that their parents and country allow them to be in school?" People who have read the BBC's story have asked, in effort to unravel the mystery behind the terror group's war against Nigeria.

The president said the terror group first began its attack on the country by attacking Christian Churches, and then suddenly switched to attacking Moslem places of worship too, specifically showing a group that had lost touch with reason. The president said that the impression the group's earlier attacks and the demand for 'Sharia' gave was that it wanted to bring Christians and Moslems against each other. But the later attacks on Moslem places of worship helped in resolving that debacle.
Observers say that judging by President Jonathan's explanation, it is obvious that Boko-Haram has lost the war against Nigeria on moral ground and the group like a drowning fighter is only holding to the straw by seizing innocent girls and threatening to sell them away. They advise that all Nigeria needs do is declare a total war against the group, surround the Sambisa forest with gun fire and air power, with cooperation of Chad, Cameroon and Niger Republic, to ensure that none of the irritants escape through the borders. People say that it cannot be that Nigeria does not possess the military to do the job, but that what is absent is the will power.
