Ayatollah Khamenei: Riding on Tiger's Back
10 January 2026 By Abiodun Kareem Giwa
Nicholas Maduro and Ali Khamenei
Riding on a Tiger's back is a common saying that depicts a dangerous lifestyle because the animal can swallow the person. Nicholas Maduro did. Donald Trump's administration is not the first to haunt him. Joseph Biden refused to recognize him as president of Venezuela, and he placed a bounty of $25 million on his head, wanted him arrested. Critics of Maduro's arrest need to find something else to talk about. Why did Biden place a bounty on his head and ordered his arrest? The difference between Biden and Trump is that the former ordered an arrest but did nothing, while the former went in and effected the arrest.
It would have saved the world a lot of confusion had Maduro changed his ways to assure the United States that his former attitude towards governance was a mistake. Still, he continued in lawlessness, satisfying other lawless countries and abandoning Venezuela's, aside from the allegation of drug dealing and dealing in sanctioned oil sales. Every leader in all country uses sovereign status to do ugly things, including killing their people and stealing the country dry and the United Nation, UN, has no solution other than turn its attention away. Now there is another development in Iran where Ayatollah Ali Khamenei accused protesting Iranians of trying to please Trump, and reporters felt it was worth an announcement to the world! Are Iranians trying to please others or themselves in pursuit of an improved standard of living? Iranians are crying of economic hardship. They want a better life. Aren't they entitled to it? Is the country not rich enough to offer what the people need?
Why did those reporters not ask Khamenei the reason those protesters are on the street? What number of resources that would have been used for their care have gone to Hezbollah and the terrorists in Gaza? Doesn't it cost money to foment trouble in the region? The Ayatollah, as a religious leader and a conservative, ought to have known from the inception of power that caring for people's welfare is more important than acquiring bombs and power to terrorize people. Iran's history is a compelling story that whoever leads the country cannot ignore. Where is the Shah of Iran today? Though he was an American stooge, as alleged, America could not save him amid the trouble of the people's riot against leadership derangement. It could then have been said he wanted to please Americans and failed. Iran is no longer an American ally.
It has been death to America since the Ayatollah returned to power. It is still death to America. Rather than for the Iranian officials to reason, they are saying protesters are acting against God! They say there will be an anti-protest protest on Monday and the protesters would carry the Quran along as they march against the protest that riled the country. They are ready to negotiate with America, but they are also prepared for war! It is a case of the conservative partying with the liberals. And when the country elects a president, the president seeks to please an Ayatollah and not the people. What we see happening in Venezuela and Iran also occurs in families where the head of the household squanders money on a lavish lifestyle rather than caring for family members.
American liberals are weeping for Maduro, while his own people rejoice at his arrest. Venezuelans say they now have hope for the future, something Maduro had previously denied them. America's liberals and their counterparts around the world say America is after Venezuela's oil, but Venezuela's ask why their cries are louder than Venezuela's? When will the America's liberals begin to see the truth and stop going after Trump who has not said he is a saint that the liberals want to make him? The liberals cannot see how sunk Iran has become with the Iran currency at 1400 to a dollar.
People are only happy with a leader's religion after they have fed. And no one cares about your religion, when people are tight, and you are announcing yourself as a Moslem or Christian. Were you voted into office based on your religion? It is unfortunate that a larger percentage of elected officials, both in Democratic countries and non-Democratic countries don't know how fortunate they are. They behave like it is their birthright and rather than work hard to satisfy the people, they behave like junkies and seemingly demonstrating lack of knowledge to perform. Forget about the scientific performance analysis which the media can screw to favor political favorites, the people have own traditional performance measurement - the empty bank accounts and stomach. Maduro failed his people, and Khamenei is treading the same path.
Mayor Zohran Mandani of New York campaigned on affordability. He also announced himself as a Moslem and Democratic Socialist at swearing-in ceremony. Did he need to reiterate all of that again when Americans already heard them and are merely waiting for him to fulfill his affordability promises without turning the Big Apple into Cuba or Venezuela's styled entity as a Socialist?
