How much could Christians thank the Roman Emperor who, in a vision, saw Christ on the Cross and was told that if he fought in the name of Christ, he would be victorious, and who accepted the offer? Christianity would probably have evaporated without him, who made it a state religion while it was under the possibility of extinction. Many of the same believers, however, believe it was Christ who fought to preserve Christianity at the time and that the emperor was merely a vessel.
Emperor Constantine's success at the Battle of the Milvian Bridge echoes through the ages. It is a verifiable example of how believing in Christ led to success, and that no one needs to fight for any religion; let the religion fight for itself. No need to fight for any religious leader; let them do their own battles.
If they choose you, then no problem with you succeeding. But if the choice is just yours, you will fail. It is what is happening to many Jihadists across the globe. They lack vision. No one has sent them to kidnap or kill in the name of anyone. They have taken upon themselves battles that do not belong to them. Canceled in the Maghreb, they are fighting to establish a new caliphate somewhere in Africa, still uncertain, and making life miserable for innocent people. If Muhammad had sent them as they claim, he would have ensured their success against extermination in the Maghreb. But they failed because there was no heavenly hand in their undertakings.
Look at how the IRGC is failing in Iran despite all the money and efforts around the Middle East. They have lost in Gaza, and the battle at home has consumed more than they imagined of their leaders. America is seeking peace amid the war to terminate the organization, which is a humanitarian gesture to curtail the bloodshed in the country. It isn't that Iran is powerful enough to confront American power. ISIS and its sister al-Qaeda are already doomed. Their offspring, like Boko Haram and ISWAP, are struggling for survival in Africa. Look at the face of the young man, who was a deputy leader of ISWAP in West Africa, eliminated in Nigeria, with the cooperation of the American forces. What does a lad of his age know about leadership? Forcing people to accept your stupidity and get killed for refusing is leadership? Certainly not. Brainwashed by visionless leaders and sent out to be killed.
They give Islam a bad name. It is not Islam to pray with the rosary, pretend to be peaceful while the evil intention lurks within. It is not Islamic to wear the hijab when you are indeed worse than the devil. Many Muslims pray with the rosary and are genuinely peaceful. Pious hijab wearing women have a bad identity. Some Christian women cover their heads in Churches, but the case is contrary in others. Why no uniformity?
The answer is in years of schism and modernism. Things suddenly fell apart. Martin Luther visited Rome and found the father doing the opposite of what their teachings taught. And different types of Churches began. And Pentecostalism for prosperity emerged. We no longer know who God calls and who the Devil has called. What is the essence of covering your head in public when all that is required is covering in the place of worship? Some women cover their entire bodies in public as if it will remain covered when out of public view. Today, we know Christianity is not strong because of any church leader's holiness or righteousness, but because Christ continues to watch over the Church.
The difference is still clear as the day: we don't find people waging useless wars, kidnapping and killing innocent people among Christians. And Muslims have not given enough justification for why bad eggs among them have chosen the stupid path of their own madness. Evangelism is persuading people peacefully to accept God, not the other way around. Adherents must be sincere in informing prospective converts about the religion they intend to embrace. No sugar coating the evil part.
Some parts of the world are avoiding certain religions, whose practice is alien, and this is the reason that all religions must be transparent to convince others of no hidden evil agenda, since we cannot stop any from evangelizing. Marco Hunter-Lopez, the 16-years-old Texan who saw hijabs, Qurans, and pamphlets distributed in his school and alerted the authority did for the fear of Sharia, and not because he felt the distribution was against the public schools' rule. He was not against evangelism but should not be a school. It raised a question. Every religion has the right to evangelize.
