Donald Trump as John The Baptist?
September 29 2015 By Abi Giwa
Some American political pundits are confused over Donald Trump's candidature in the Republican Party's line up of presidential candidates. They don't seem to understand what to do about Trump. Why the confusion? They say Trump is not a traditional politician and that his style is bare of political science analytics.
Therefore, many among the pundits are saying they are unsure whether Trump will be the Republican Party's candidate or the next president of the United States. These pundits are not even being convinced by the poll results, which has Trump in the lead
"Are these polls correct or accurate?" Some people appear to be asking self-consciously. A guy came into a building in New York City on Monday announcing that Marco Rubio has shot up in the polls, but he did not say what position Rubio currently occupies in the poll. But when asked, he said Rubio is leading from the rear.
But why has some people begin to think that Trump could not emerge The Republican Party candidate or even the next president of the U.S against the confusion among the political pundits? They say they think he so because he is a shrewd and successful business man. They are not saying that they believe Trump could pull through because he is a successful politician. When asked whether Trump could be next president or whether they will vote for Trump, some people say they don't know, mothers says they are confused, while others say they will vote for him and others say they will not. Trump himself does not seem to understand how has arrive at where he is in the poll, according to news reports. He also does not understand what tomorrow will hold for him, but he sis satisfied with where he is today.
Why wouldn't he? And why wouldn't anyone in his shoes? Is he John The Baptist , a man with the gift of knowing what God has in store for him, to know he is not the Messiah but the forerunner of Messiah? Trump is like every other candidate competing with others and the final decision belongs to the voters. Would voters go along with the alleged manner political pundits have charged Trump's style as against traditional political known to them and would Republicans give him a shot at the primaries? The poll results is indicative of where the mind of Republican Party members is, since they are the ones currently being polled and they are in favor of his untraditional style of politics.
One major mistake some of the Republican candidates have made, and which may have helped pilot Trump along the way, people are saying, is the way some Republican candidates become judgmental of the Trump as an opponent, openly deriding his style and saying that he is not fit to be president. People are asking who made those candidates to be judges and whether they want to be candidates and voters at the same time? Would voters go along with Trump with the way he has been reported to talk about black people, the Latinos, immigrants, immigration and cutting taxes for the rich?
A black guy says he will vote for Trump, because Trump knows about business and he may be helpful in creating an enabling environment for new jobs in the his community. A Latino woman says she is praying for Trump. In all the case scenarios, there is still not a clear answer that Trump is a winning or losing candidate against what political scientists are saying that Trump may not get there. Some people actually believe that pundits who want Trump to change his style and become a traditional political he is not are wasting their time. They say that Trump has never claimed to be a traditional politician. He has said that he is a business man who knows how to make money and he has not hidden the fact that he is stupendously rich, and that some of the traditional politicians have been benefiting from his donations and that they take his money and that they do nothing.
One major sin that liberal pundits said Trump had committed and one that had made them to doubt his eligibility was his going after President Barack Obama over the birth certificate issue, making the liberals just as pessimists as the traditional Republicans on Trump's chances. Traditional liberals and traditional Republicans don't see anything good in Trump. But ordinary Americans are saying they are tired of traditional or professional politicians and the special interest groups. They have been saying that they want a change with the past. This may probably be the reason Trump is resonating with the voters. The reason may not be strong enough to give it or take it away from Trump, just as it is applicable to other candidates. Any of them may be the Messiah or the forerunner to the Messiah, until the truth emerges along the way, the truth that will clear the current cloudiness of sight and seeming blindness of pundits to the reality before them.
