All human beings aspire to some level of honor. Williams Shakespeare's words are that some are born great, some have greatness thrust upon them, and some achieve greatness. The world mostly celebrates people who rise from a lowly state to achieve excellence and the exact reason for Shakespeare's words, lest anyone should think greatness only happens by birth or favor.
Abraham Maslow confirms with the teaching of the Hierarchy of Needs that achieving greatness through dint of hard work is possible and is celebrated every time. Applicable here is recent event when indigenes of the Ekperi clan in Etsako West Local Government of Nigeria rolled out drums in celebration of some towering members of the Ekperi Leadership Forum.
Therefore, the Ekperi clan celebrates the aspiration of some among its children. One has risen to be a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN. Another person rose to a permanent secretary in the civil service. One person is considered the youngest to bag a chieftaincy of Ezomo - the warrior. Apparently, education has played an essential role in the rise of these illustrious individuals who have brought pride to their people.

And Chief Tony Mochi of the Federal Inland Revenue Service, FIRS, is the youngest person named into the chieftaincy title for the sage.
Professor Ben Uwoke, president of the Ekperi Leadership Forum, said the individuals had done the community proud and will continue to be recognized and celebrated for excellence. "People who have come to their levels should provide their shoulders for the rest of us to lean on to get to higher levels in life. Our dream is to build networks that will lead to the Ekperi development."
Barrister Paschal Ugbome of the People's Democratic Party, PDP, and a senatorial aspirant in the area hosted the ceremony. He said the honorees are illustrious sons of Ekperi who deserve celebration for being the first to attain the positions. The honorees thanked the Ekperi Leadership Forum for the recognition accorded them. However, they were only committed to their various callings and unaware of the appreciation that would accompany their efforts.
The Ekperi Leadership Forum was created in 2017 for men and women from the Ekperi Local Government area. Evangelist Felix Umoru, a journalist at the HotNews media, administers the forum.
