Is Voting Supposed to be By Force?

, Kenya MPs have reportedly told Kenya women to withhold sex from their husbands, until they are certain that their husbands have registered to vote! The MPs decision, announced by Representative Mishi Mboko, in Mombasa, and reported by the Standard Digital, has prompted questions about when voting turns a forceful act.
Are there not many voters with voters cards, but who miss voting on the election day for reasons beyond their control?
What would happen in a country like the United States, where many Democratic voters sat out from voting in Michigan and one of the actions said to have affected Hillary Clinton and her loss to Donald Trump in Michigan? That women should deny men sex until they are certain they will vote? Would that not mean an attempt to disrupt homes or families to satisfy politicians' personal gains on the pretext of helping Democracy? What will happen if men too decide to deny women without voters' card sex, since there are many women who also dont vote?
People are saying that voting or registering to vote should not be by force, and that when government delivers dividends of democracy, people will vote without coercion. Apparently, many people are turning cold to voting, because they see politicians enjoying their booties, without corresponding dividend to the people.
