Nancy Pelosi goofs over security situation

Nancy Pelosi, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, has reportedly goofed over the security situation at the Congress, asking President Donald Trump to delay the State of the Union Address until the government has reopened.
Information emerged on Wednesday that Pelosi had sent a letter to President Trump seeking to delay the State of the Union o Address, because she said the Secret Service and Department of Homeland Security were affected by the shutdown and their staff not paid.
Therefore, the speaker averred that the security of people expected to be at the venue of the State of the Union Address cannot be guaranteed. But a White House correspondent of the Fox News investigation at the DHL and Security Service reveals that the speaker or her office have not made any effort to find out about the effect of the shutdown on the DHL or the Secret Service.
The DHL and the Secret Service said that though they have not been paid but they have continued to offer their service nonetheless, and that arrangement for the State of the Union Address is in place. Meaning that the speaker's position and the reason for it is a fiction to them. Perhaps, the speaker may have thought she could use the fascination of the State of the Union Address to get the president to listen to her, some observers said laughingly
The development comes as a shock to observers and many people believably say that the speaker has embarked on political arm-twisting to want to deny President Trump a chance to speak to Americans on the state of the country to score a cheap political point or to show that she also has power just like the president.
One political analyst on the Fox News channel had said that if the speaker wants to deny the president the opportunity of using the Congress to make the State of The Union Address, the president may resort to making the address from the Oval office and make a copy of the speech available to the Congress.
It is still unclear whether the speaker will accept she has goofed and allow the State of the Union Address at the Congress or continue to insist on her request for a delay of the address until the government has opened. Many people think that whatever happens, it will be an interesting episode to watch the State of the Union Address, and how the nation and the politicians from both parties will react to the president's speech on state of the nation and the shutdown.
The State of the Union address will be on January 29. People are urging the Democrats to return to the negotiating table for a deal and not walk away forsaking the people. They say that if the Democrats return to the negotiating table, it is possible for combatants on both sides to strike a deal to reopen government before the State of the Union.
