Over 50 people may have been killed by a twin bomb explosion on Ahmadu Bello Way in Jos, Nigeria, on Tuesday, based on news reports emanating from Nigeria. The figure may be higher. The Police has confirmed 46 deaths published by Nigerian newspapers' online editions, but the BBC claimed in its report that about 118 bodies had been counted. Another Nigerian Newspaper puts own figure at 150 deaths.
Nigeria has been under intense attack from Boko-Haram for refusal to embrace Islamic rule. The world hasn't overcome the shock of over 200 Nigerian school girls abducted by the sect over one month ago, and effort by the international community to help free the girls is continuing.
Boko-Haram has vowed to take over Nigeria or destroy the country. On Tuesday, the sect bombed Kano, a major city in the North where it killed 4 people. Before the abduction of the school girls, it had been killing students in their sleep, slashing their throats.
