No Peace Deal: Remove Monsters from Palestine
2 September 2024 By Abiodun Kareem Giwa
The world awoke in the United States on Saturday, Labor Day weekend, to the news of Hamas’ assassination of six hostages, including one American. It pushed Benjamin Netanyahu on a tightrope. He wears the crown and executes a war program to eliminate a monster. People call for a peace deal and an end to war. A question rang out: Will peace ever exist where a beast exists? Israel’s major problem is dealing with a monster with no human feelings but a thirst for blood. This is a reminder of Grendel’s attacks on Heirot in Beowulf - the oldest of the great long poems written in English, when the king was stressed and unsure of what to do to protect and defend his domain.
The king got help from a foreign fighter named Beowulf. He defeated the monsters. There was no peace deal, just as there was none between the United States and Al-Queda and ISIS animals. Israel did not invite the October 7 attack. However, Israel decided on a war to end the monstrous attack on its people and to free the hostages. The hostages, numbered over one hundred, were in danger of deliberate execution.
Sunday, after the announcement of the execution of the six hostages, showed the United Kingdom parliament slamming Israel and withholding the country’s access to military help and armament to continue the war in Gaza. President Joseph Biden in the United States went into a situation room with his peace deal managers and said that Netanyahu had not done enough to achieve a peace deal.
A crowd of protesters marched on Tel Aviv streets, asking Netanyahu to bring the hostages home now. Everyone wants hostages home alive, but no one has asked the reason Hamas seized them in the first place from a dance party and not in a war theater. Why were the hostages seized to treat them with kids’ gloves? Why did Israel go after ensuring their release? Is it not to save them from danger and to forestall future occurrences?
Israel went into Gaza militarily to pursue saving the hostages to end Hamas’ terrorism and to end the vengeance nature of the monsters’ attacks. No one has mentioned Iran’s role in the cruel development in Gaza. Iran wants Israel eliminated from existence, and it is sponsoring terrors all around Israel. The civilized world wanted Israel to turn the other cheek. However, the U.S. and the allied forces did not turn the other cheek or force the U.S. to turn the other cheek against Al-Queda or ISIS.
Yes, the world raged against the nonexistent of weapons for mass destruction in Iraq. The allies were not after monsters in Iraq but humans who thought they had the power to challenge a superpower. The U.K. parliament that has suddenly turned to humanitarians failed to see the human error in the country’s Iraq role. Or has it learned a lesson and is mistakenly withholding help to people in need against monsters? No one approved the death of anyone in the line of fire between Israel and the Hamas forces.
Palestinians’ fate is in their own hands. Why allow monsters to rule and ruin them? The sympathy they currently enjoy does not mean a right to house monsters. The accommodation for the animals caused the war in their homeland. Ironically, Netanyahu is facing a challenging situation Hrothgar encountered in Beowulf since no leader wants to see his people massacred.
The sane world feels for families whose members are hostages in Gaza. However, the endangerment of their lives is the monster’s cause and wish. The monsters’ elimination is necessary, just like the Al-Queda and ISIS. Please don’t give the monsters and their sponsor, Iran, a cause to smile in secret. Let not the hostages suffering and death be in vain. Adult and Palestinian children’s deaths were for a reason: to rid Palestine of monsters. They saved the land.
Israel has been generous, agreeing to go for a deal with monsters. But Yahya Sinwar, Hamas’ leader, reportedly rejected the agreement for not guaranteeing his safety! A bloodsucker wants to live and see others dead. Let Israel pursue and get rid of him for the souls of departed innocent Palestinians, and Israel rest in peace.
