People are suffering all over the world

Paul Simon recorded his song "Adios Hermanos" in 1960. Listening to it one will think the song is a new release. Suffering in the world is manifest in its lyrics. "Angel of mercy, people, are suffering worldwide," he sings. There is also the fear of living in neighborhoods due to the lack of accommodation of others.
Some were born into this unholy situation. People born in 1960 think as they grow, things could get better. Instead, they discover rather than improve; the problem is getting worse. And those who are being born today arrive into a much worse world. The evil compels people who are immigrants to vote with their feet in search of a saner environment.
However, these immigrants have discovered to their chagrin that the hurt is not limited to any particular place. They find there are much worse issues in areas they call new homes. Some call it culture shock. And the harder they work, the more the suffering. And that it is also more unpleasant to rely on government assistance. Governance seems to have a new definition - leadership without accountability.
People are working hard, expecting governments to be responsible, accounting for the taxpayers' money. But what is manifest is the emergence of irresponsible governments that pass the bucks. Not even President Harry Truman's words that the issues stop on his desk affect modern leaders to accept ultimate responsibility for their decisions.
Consequently, governance has seemingly turned into a fight between predecessors and successors. The latter works to cancel the legacy of the former, careless of the effect on the populace. Supporters of current leaders tell you how the predecessor began the cancellation of the achievement of his predecessor when the issue comes up. They say this evil act of vengeance has become a political culture under which we must live or perish. They approve of the abnormal counter-culture of turning people against others. Politicians use it to serve or favor their election or reelection.
The result of all these is that the people can go to hell and be the cause of suffering. Some people believe this evil has its foundation in searching for a sphere of influence in Africa. And the subsequent scramble for Africa and the bondage of slavery. Enslaved people have gained freedom, but some politicians say the prerogative is incomplete. So they use the black people as another sphere of influence to win elections.
The same sphere of influence, President Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa, seems to have pointed out is the cause of the current suffering problem in Ukraine, tracing the cause of the conflict to NATO's expanding Eastward. NATO cares about expansion but not Helping to tackle poverty or teach leaders to be responsible and that democracy is not about leaders living fine and followers living in affluence.
Of course, leaders live well worldwide and are paid for by the people. But the same people toil so hard, and their suffering seems endless. Therefore, it is the cry from the Americas, Europe, Africa, and Asia. People want a redefinition of governance to mean the care of the people and not the care of the leaders. Because Simon's words is still as in 1960. People are suffering all over the world due to the lack of selfless leadership.
