The People's Voting Power vs. Hollywood Celebrities
8 November 2024 By Abiodun Kareem Giwa
Hard work pays off. Give it to Trump—the can-do New York spirit manifests in him. He earned the victory. I have hardly seen anyone as resilient. It is the beginning of a turning around for America. The country's Democracy is astoundingly alive, ensuring voting and replacing bad managers. Joseph Biden and Kamala Harris are handsome and beautifully good people but are awful managers—their poor performance in office was their undoing. The crowd around them, including the media, failed to correct them with hard love, which is to tell them the truth about their failing policies.
Trump must learn a lesson from their error. Listen to the criticism of the people that surround you. Don't cancel any policy for the sake of it to tar a political opponent. Keep every policy that is good for the people. The end began for the outgoing president and vice when they canceled the border security and the Keystone XL oil pipeline to make their political foe unpopular despite the frugal border sense and the economic usefulness of the oil pipeline.
Trump must ensure the Department of Justice is apolitical. Americans detest the use of lawfare against anyone for political reasons. Trump knows better as a victim. Go to bed thinking about improving the electorates and wake up to the same. Your pledges promise to enhance our lives and make the country great again. The most important thing is ensuring security in all parts of the country, sanctuary or not. No governor or prosecutor can deny it. The budget must serve the people and its purpose. Every money spent must be accounted. The money meant for the people must not serve other purposes without approval.
The election result must make every American joyful for bringing accountability to life. It would have been a disaster for good management if the result had been otherwise. It is not about liking or hating a candidate but embracing a policy and performance-management-inclined environment. If you want a candidate and the person is a lousy manager, would you still put such a worker on the job? Look at the election result as a complete repudiation of the Democratic Party's agenda. The party lost the presidency and the Senate and may likely lose the House! Trump won not only the Electoral College but also the popular votes. The result destroyed the liberal media's talking points about the direction of the nation. The talking heads must be ashamed. They need to be more objective and also put their credentials into question as professional media practitioners.
They are opposite the truth, acting like politicians. We saw Barack Obama and his wife, Bill Clinton, and Hillary Clinton's ugly statements for political reasons because they are politicians and not media practitioners. That may be acceptable because they are politicians. But what would one say of Oprah Winfrey, a media personality of great immense jumping on a political bandwagon talking rubbish? If these people need to help analyze the country's direction, why didn't they use their votes and not attempt to convince others of their ways? They have joined the list of Hollywood celebrities, stars like George Clooney, and other losers. I don't appreciate anyone pushing the color agenda for any reason. Nor will I ever like anyone applying gender differences to score political goals.
Most men accused of misogyny have mothers, wives, sisters and daughters. It questions whether the Democratic Party's ethics is against internal criticism. If not, why didn't these surrogates and the party's media advise Joe Biden and Harris at the beginning of their losing journey not to cancel the XL Keystone pipeline and never throw the border open? It was an insult to injury that they were so convinced of victory that they put the nation on notice about a plan to kill the filibuster, end the Electoral College system, and gut the Supreme Court. Another example is the Iran debacle, which they caused arising from appeasement.
The Founding Fathers' ideals were attacked without scrutiny but for political gains. They wanted change for themselves, not the ones the people sought. They said their opponent was a danger to Democracy, whereas they are! Is killing the filibuster, ending the Electoral College, and gutting the Supreme Court not endangering Democracy? Their only excuse was the January 6, 2020, protest against the election results. The former president had proved he was innocent. Still, they continued with dangerous rhetoric about Hitler and the Nazis.
They failed to address and acknowledge their mistake for an open border, unacceptable inflation, illegal migrants' invasion, and insecurity in cities and suburbs - giving illegal migrants debit and credit cards to meet their needs, something no migrants had enjoyed before settling down in the country before now. Let them stop the blame game and own their failure. The majority of Americans are not susceptible. They are the people. They may not be wealthy or famous, but they have the voting power. Trump said the taxpayers must come first before distributing the money to others, either in or outside the country. One reason for the War of Independence was that American tax money went to Britain, where they had no representation. It was like a case of the Monkey working and the baboon eating. Americans work hard every day; they are entitled to live in comfort.
And Trump must fulfill his promise to set an excellent example for future leaders: Close the border, flush illegal migrants who came through the open border, lower the cost of gasoline at the pump and groceries, arrest insecurity and restore Americans' genuine happiness.
