Are we okay now?

The title for this piece is adapted from "I am Okay" by Lisa Shaw. The idea for the piece has emanated from listening to the song. But can one really be ok when conditions don't encourage such a development? Can a man or woman who hasn't eaten three square meals a day, or a homeless fellow be ok?
The question arises after reading through the lyric of Shaw's song. Undoubtedly, Shaw's I am Ok is danceable for its beautiful rhythm that easily moves the feet and gets the body to act in joyful sensation. The song is about a struggle to be recognized and the illusion of non-realization of the expectation.
The first four lines of the song says:
Too many colors blind,
So many righteous people,
They're searching the world to find
All of the good in evil
Too many lights gone out
So many stars stopped shining
I'm looking for words to shout
But nobody cares to listen.
And the next line is about too many lies in circulation. And about many rival wars. And about difficulties about someone winning nothing and difficulties about understanding anyone scoring anything, and lacks the sense of what is coming. And yet, she sing it is ok! Forcing the reader to ask whether things can be ok when things are not ok? Can thing be ok when things are not?
It is a tough question. Shaw's song seems to be relevant to the new development here in the United States and about being in an unclear situation and lacking what is coming. No one can fail to fall in love with Shaw's song and be moved to dance by the rhythm. Listening and dancing to good songs is undoubtedly capable to make things look ok when thing in reality are not.
