Brazil 2014 Soccer Fiesta Beckons

Brazil 2014 World Cup tournament is already in the news. The debate is about which continent and the countries that will likely spur surprises against expectations. The most ardent question on the lips of soccer enthusiasts is whether Brazil will use the home advantage to snatch back its pre-eminent position in soccer.
Pundits say if Brazil does not win the cup, any of the European countries may spur a surprise. Spain may fight to retain the trophy; Germany’s machine power may re-surface and France may want to tell the world it is still a country of reckoning in soccer.
According to Franando Chaparro of Architectural Floring Care, AFC, in Manhattan, says Germany or Spain are his favorites, because Brazil is not looking so good, and adds that these games are difficult to predict.
Johnny Hilario, an American Building Management, ABM, employee in New York, and who hails from Hondura believes that apart from Brazil, every South American team that qualifies will give a good account of themselves. Aside from Brazil, he says all eyes are on Uruguay and Argentina.
Brazil is known to be the king of soccer. It won the cup last in 2002 when it defeated Germany to carry the trophy. It is a recent development that the winners of the World Cup trophy come largely from Europe with Italy in 2006 and Spain in 2010 in succession.
Since 1930 when Uruguay won the trophy with Brazil as host, Brazil had mostly won the cup playing away from home. It is why observers see her playing at home as a boost to her chances.
Some observers like Chaparro believe that Europe has become the center of the game, and one of the European countries is mostly likely to win the next World Cup, if the host country does not.
Pundits say England is the home of the round leather game in the premier league. But all around Britain are countries, whose development of the game and own leagues are posing challenges to Britain. They say it explains why European countries have won the world cup almost three times in succession with Brazil and Argentina breaking their hold from achieving the three times in succession victory.
Therefore, it causes no surprise that pundits are not even considering England among the likely winners of the cup in 2014, despite her pre-eminent premier league that is the envy of soccer lovers all over the world.
