EU Immigrants arriving UK to be Without Benefits for Five Years

A proposal is reported to be under consideration in the United Kingdom, which will place ban on accessing benefits by EU immigrants for five years, the Mail newspaper has reported.
This would mean that people arriving from Europe would have to spend the same period of time on the queue like non EU immigrants.
The report t said that the proposal put forward by MigrationWatch UK is a blueprint for post Brexit Britain. The blueprint is said to be under consideration by the ministers.
Observers say that this is part of effort to curb migration by the UK, and that if the plans sail through, it will mean a discouragement for people going to UK, since there will be no benefit to rely upon to survive hard times.
It is also expected that apart from the blueprint's effect on the EU immigrants, there may likely be provisions to curtail migration from non EU countries.
