How True Is the Bribery Allegation Against Joseph Biden?
14 June 2023 By Abiodun Kareem Giwa
Should President Joseph Biden be investigated for an alleged bribery case as a vice president? A document is said to be with the FBI since 2017 detailing the scheme. The House Oversight Committee wrote to the FBI asking if such a document existed and, if so, what the investigators had done to confirm or disclaim it. The FBI soon agreed such a form existed. However, Christopher Wray eventually brought the paper to the Oversight Committee members to view at a unique location.
What did Oversight Committee members see in the pamphlet brought forth by the FBI? Some of them who saw it confirmed in a media interview how $10m went from one individual in Ukraine to two others in the U.S. They say the two individuals in the U.S. are allegedly the former vice president and his son.
The Conservative media has been reporting the story, but the Liberal media chooses to have nothing to do with it. However, the story is out there; whether any media agree or refuse to report it does not matter. Many Democrats, like the Liberal media, do not want the former vice president investigated. Still, they are always agog whenever the vice president's opponent is a victim of indictment and disregard the witch hunt allegation.
Another worrisome fact later emerged connected to the bribery allegation. Senator Grassley (R), privileged to have heard about the bribery scheme from a whistleblower, dropped a bombshell. He said audio tapes existed for allegations of the bribery scheme. But according to news reports from the media that has chosen to follow the development, the FBI redacted the existence of the audio tape from the document shown to Oversight Committee members.
However, the FBI has not denied or confirmed the existence of audio tapes. And no denial about the money that allegedly exchanged hands between the individual in Ukraine and the two in the U.S. No one has said any member of the House Oversight Committee made a false representation of the content of the document which the FBI brought forth.
"Where is the money?" President Biden asked when confronted by a reporter about the alleged bribery scheme. "I am joking," the president said simultaneously. "It is all malarky," he added and walked away. Oversight Committee members disagreed with President Biden based on what they saw read in the paper FBI showed them. They urged the FBI to make the document public for Americans to see. And should not the FBI be transparent?
One Democrat in the House said the matter about the alleged bribery concerning the president was closed. But Bill Barr, attorney general in Trump's presidency, said nothing was closed, and the issue was still under investigation. But the House is expressing frustration investigators have done nothing about the matter, and we have seen a seeming cover-up.
Therefore, they have chosen to dig further to get more evidence that could help and, if possible, to begin an impeachment investigation. James Comer, chairman of the House Oversight Committee, and his colleagues have resolved to get to the root of the bribery allegation. They say all Americans are equal and no one is above the law. And they no longer trust the FBI they accused of bias.
They are weighing the possibility of impeachment rather than waiting and hoping the FBI will investigate or close up.
