It is the campign time for the next election in Germany and Angela Merkel, the German Chancelor, is leaving nothing to chances, to avoid allowing the far right party, push her out of office.
She has resultantly shows strong opposition to the Moslems' use of the full-face veil in the public, possibly to compete against the opposition conservative party that has been gaining support for being against Merkel's party that encourages immigration, especially from the war torn Syria, and seemingly limitless.
The USA Today reports that "Angela Merkel calls for countrywide\, full face Veil Ban in Germany." The report by Fox News says that "Merkel Calls for Burqa ban in Germany draws backlash." Bloomberg reports that "Merkel Backs German Full Veil Ban in Pitch to CDU Members." Al Jazeeral reports that Angela Merkel says "Full Face Veil Must be Banned in Germany." The New York Times captions its report thus: "Merkel call for Ban on Full-Face Veils in Germany."
Virtually all major newspapers around the world published the story based on Merkel's words for a ban on Full Face veil in Germany beginning campaign for her fourth term in office. She was also reproted to have said that the 2015 migrant crisis that brought close to 890,000 refugees to that country should never be allowed to occur again.
Her party, the Christian democratic Union party, for which merkel was re-elected as leader in Essen on Tuesday, was reported to have lost public support up to 41 percent, according to polls. Support for the anti-immigrant Alternative for Deutschland has increased.
Political observers are saying that the hen has come home to roost, beliving that every political party that will win election must be people oriented and not depend on the whim of policies that lack public support. The only opposition so far to Merkel's call for a ban on Full Face-Veil in Germany is from the Council on American-Islamic Relations, an American Islamic advocacy group, which says that the ban is against freedom and furthers Islamophobia, according to the Fox News report.
Of course, it is obvious that Merkel does not want the Democratic Party and the Clinton's experience to be her lot and that of her party in Germany.
