Investigating Ebola
July 2014 By Abi Giwa

Not many people know that Ebola is older than AIDS, and that it has killed close to 2000 people in Sudan, DRC Congo, Gabon and Uganda. Information on a Center for Disease Control and Prevention, CDC, website shows that the disease has been killing people from 1976 in DRC Congo to Uganda, Sudan, Gabon, Ivory Coast, Russia, South Africa with 1549 deaths between 1976 and 2013.
Further curiosity about where and how Ebola got its name showed that the disease derived its name from a river in DRC Congo, information on a eMedTv website revealed. The CDC table shows that what is currently happening in Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone is a rival of earlier experience in these other countries. The CDC table showed Russia and South Africa had lost one person each to Ebola.
One question we are seeking an answer is why has not the world clinically find solution to Ebola in comparison to AIDS, a younger disease to Ebola?
