Miley Cyrus as an Example of Success

Hillary Clinton, Miley Cyrus and Elijah Edrington are three different personalities, but who are united by their their living, working and achieving success in the United States.
Clinton has been in the news as a politician for sometime; Miley is a singer who is currently making her waves and according to Ellen Degeneres, she is a smart young lady who now has a movement developing to embrace her acts. Edrington as a 14 years-old had a dream of becoming a pilot ten years ago, and believed that if one worked hard enough; dreamt hard enough, one could make it, but said that just dreaming could not get one all the way, and that one would need to work, work and work, to achieve desirable success.
The lives of Cyrus and Edrington will bring one to the recollection of Clinton's statement sometime ago, "If you work hard and play by the rules, you'll have the freedom and opportunity to pursue your own dreams. Work is about more than making a living. It's fundamental to human dignity, to our sense of self-worth as useful, independent, free people."
Again, Billy Ray Cyrus remark in an interview with the Access HollyWood reported as a defense of his daughter's style gives an insight to what it requires to dream and succeed in America, "She’s a very smart young lady. She wanted to shake things up a little bit and mission accomplished.”
What mission is the first question that observers have been asking. The mission, of course, is about putting strategic plans in place and having the determination and strength to push ahead in the music scene, where competition is fierce and every participant has to devise a way to succeed.
It is show time. The world has witnessed the likes of James Brown, Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, Shakira and Lady Gaga; all wonderful performers and not just performers. There are many others like them around in the music world in and outside the U.S, who have made their marks, and others coming up to be like them. Cyrus father said that there was nothing wrong in Miley's acts reinventing herself. All that matters to him is to see that his daughter is happy.
He said they had worked hard and he was happy that he saw Miley taking decisions, being in control of herself and not listening or following anyone's opinion. Some members of the public are naturally against the Miley's raunchy appearance at a recent concert at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn with in a bikini and dancing with Thicke, in what observers described as strippers' act. Apparently, not many members of the public knew the Brooklyn act was not Miley's first appearance in a bikini. Information in the archive revealed that Miley's turning around began with an appearance at a youth concert and that her Brooklyn appearance was a follow up to what her fans saw as a new Miley. And her father said, "The twert-filled performance - and the over - the - top - theatrically was something Miley helped create and accomplish."
Miley is everywhere; she is the talk of the town and her songs are becoming more and more popular. What people are saying is that they want people to follow society's moral dictate on dressing and acting, even if the societal's expectation negates your natural inclination. And other people are saying that there is no law that forbids people following their natural inclination as long as no law has been broken. It is about freedom; thinking and working hard to turn dream to reality. Miley in an interview with Ellen Degeneres said she had experienced a period she felt she lacked happiness, but now she got what she lacked, which absence in the recent past became a threat to her existence.
The reality is that some like Miley and some don't. Can one expect everyone to accept one's ways? Certainly not. Miley appeals more to her demography - the young people - since she is also a young woman at 20. However, people say Miley should learn to restrict her comments to her demography, especially when it is about sex talks. When you are 20, you don't know how 40 years old people feel sexually. Moreover, sexual feelings may not have to do with age, but depends more on individuals.
Again, the Clinton's voice, Edrington's voice and Ray Cyrus voice resonate: work hard, enjoy the God given freedom and allowed by the American Constitution, and that freedom to be what you are naturally created to be is what has become Miley's propagation.
