8 Die in Kano Bombing
Police in Nigeria has confirmed eight people dead and about 20 others wounded, following a bomb explosion at Nigeria's Kano School of Hygiene, on Monday.
According to the BBC, a police spokesman in the ancient city confirmed the attack, the number of death and that those with injuries have been taken to the hospital. And that one suspect has been arrested.
The report says that the explosion happened as students were registering for a new academic session, and that the explosion was at a car park next to a post-secondary training school.
A new emir, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, assumed office in the city last week, amid confusion among various ruling houses, which erupted in protests and lockout.But no one has claimed responsibility for the latest attack.
