Thaiya Sprull-Smith:Victim of a sour marriage
16 November 2014 By Abi Giwa
A Brooklyn young girl, Thaiya Sprull-Smith, had fallen victim to marriage collapse between dad and mom, because the step father, David Adams could not stop manhandling her, until it turned awry on Wednesday.
The Daily News reported that Adams has been charged for reckless assault and endangering of a child's welfare, after he admitted shaking the girl until he went limp, the paper quoted a source. The police is said to be considering changing the charge to homicide.
However, the girl's mother has reportedly defended her husband, saying his child is seven months in her womb. A quarrel between her and Thaiya's father, Terrell Smith, over whether or not to donate the girl's organs is also in the news.
Smith is reported not to have been unaware of the maltreatment of his daughter by Adams, leading to bruises, welts and bloody lips. But he was said to have been helpless, because the court awarded his ex-wife the child's custody.
