February 4, 2020 By Abiodun Giwa
Part of State of the Union address by President Donald Trump on Tuesday is a promise to restore prayer to American schools and allow prayer inclined families and communities to say their prayers without fears.
From the beginning to the end of his statement, President Trump shows that the state of the union is strong as chorus of USA! USA! USA! rent the air.
Several times, Speaker Nancy Pelosi rises on her feet showing support for the president's address, amid stone faces of many Democratic members of Congress, who sit without smile on their faces, but momentarily rise and show support for any statement that shines on the programs.
Surprisingly, the speaker is seen tearing apart the papers towards the end of the State of the Union address that may likely have contained the president's speech, the speech that begins with the trade deal signed with Canada and Mexico and the positive impact the trade is expected to have on the country. The speech is about the great comeback of the country. Observers describe the speech as filled with substance from the beginning to the end.
Governor Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan delivers a response to the president's address. as expected, her statement was the opposite of the president's or rather a critique of the president's address. The governor explained how Democratic Party governors are providing infrastructures all around the country
Now, the real news at the State of the Union Address is the tearing of the speech document by Pelosi. Some people are saying that is frustrated and she can no longer hide her hate of the president. Others are saying that Pelosi is struggling and cannot manage a defeat that is looming against her in the impeachment trial against Trump.
But, most people are saying that no matter Pelosi's problems, they expect her to present a public attitude that confers respect to her office and the Congress. People are saying that she openly acts what they are accusing Trump of inability to control emotion. By her act, people are saying Pelosi is no longer fit for public office. And that Pelosi surely needs prayers!
