The Trump Phenomenon and Revisionists' Scheme

"We have to keep the foot on this guy, right on his neck, take our heel, and twist it," James Carville said on MSNBC. Remember the Derek Michael Chauvin and George Floyd's episode? Is it what Carville is recommending they do to Donald Trump? He cares less about improving Americans' welfare as a way to win an election with a preference for a thuggish alternative. Isn't he aware of the reason Chauvin is serving multiple life sentences?
Carville reminds us of Greece whenever I think about America's current democracy. Socrates was at the center of events in Greece, while Trump is the focus here in America. Socrates was not a politician, but a philosopher accused of teaching youths of politicians' fraudulent practices.
Trump was also only a career politician once he ran for president. He has since been facing more than the moral equivalent of baptism of fire. Politicians alleged Socrates worshipped a different God as his crime, but he proved them wrong. Trump's adversaries alleged Trump defeated Hillary Clinton with Russia's help, but events proved they were mistaken. Socrates paid the supreme price as intended by his accusers. Will Trump?
Unlike Socrates, Trump is not facing a death sentence yet. However, his experience since 2016 almost equals Socrates - two impeachments based on accusations of Russian help to win an election. His term as president was crisis-ridden, not his fault but accusers who wanted the ground removed from his feet. No one is crying hate crime against his traducers. Can political opponents exhibit dislike than they have done against him?
Trump has more than four criminal cases hanging on his neck at the time of this writing and two others about his business and alleged sexual assault that has turned into defamation trouble. He said he had never met the woman who said she suffered rape in a clothing store room. Trump said he had never met her, and that became a defamation. Letisha James is fighting to cancel his business in New York City for alleged business sharp practices.
Two criminal cases arose from alleged interference with the 2020 presidential election, while a third arose over classified documents kept in his Florida Maralago home. Trump had said all these cases arose to stop his future presidential ambition as he fought in courts and campaigned for election. He has become a front-runner on the Republican Party's platform. All indications show he may likely be the party's eventual nominee.
Socrates never stood for an election before his trial and conviction. State power exists in both issues in Socrates and Trump's episode. Philosophy students see a flagrant use of state power in Socrates's matter. It is the nature of politics or the picture it presents, then and now. The state goes after anyone who challenges its power or the status quo. Observers see it happening most of the time in less developed countries.
Unlike the old Greece's politics and of less developed countries, transparency is playing a role that still makes the American democracy something peculiar. Trump has said all the cases against him are to stop him from vying for election while he continues his campaign. A media section allows him to state his case. He showcases his policies while in office, outclassing the incumbent president. And his followership swells.
Poll results favor Trump as likely to beat the incumbent president in an election. And the incumbent and supporters are hurrying to push his numbers and bet on him going to jail before the election. Trump is seeking accommodation to allow the election before the criminal trials, but the state is seeking his criminal trial before the election. Analysts predicted none of the illegal trials would happen before the election. But the state is pushing hard. Like Biden, Trump is facing a criminal charge over classified document. However, the prosecutor appointed to investigate Trump quickly concluded and indicted Trump. Meanwhile, Americans still need to remember Biden's classified investigation.
The AP reports the trial targeted taking away his business in New York as exceptional in all cases and that it is happening because Trump is running for office. Why would politicians in a state as liberal as New York deliberately go after a political contender to break him? It takes us back to Greece and Socrates's experience. If going after his business is plausible for political reasons, why would observers not think the same reason causes other legal cases mounted against him? Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis says you cannot expect black women to be perfect and save the world! And she is working to convict others to achieve perfection.
Carville may need a lesson on tackling an opponent in elections rather than using Gestapo tactics. He needs to remember the gas price at $3:19 or $3:39 is yet to equal $2:65. - the highest under Trump. He secured the border; he did not force an open border. He was a doer, not a talker. There was no pocket-tearing inflation under him. Some say he does not know how to talk. Is that a crime? His political opponents will do anything to tar him, while benefactors in their party do worse things without reprimand. And now a district attorney seeks accommodation of her alleged shortcoming.
