Time and Tide

"Time and tide waits for no one," is a cliche that has been grounded in reality. People often talk about how fast the time moves that when a new year is heralded before one knows what is happening, the year makes its count and another year is on the way. Scientists say that nothing is permanent, a reminder of the first lesson in college philosophy. It is like evolving of a child who becomes an adult and passes through different stages of life and then bids bye to the world. People say one has to do what needs to be done before time passes. It is the difference between living in a civilized world and the Third World; between families that have the means to train offsprings and the ones that don't, and between seizing an opportunity and procrastination.
