Trump survives efforts to end his political ascendancy

Former President Donald Trump survived another impeachment efforts by Democrats on Saturday with 57-43 votes in the senate. The Democrats failed acquiring 67 votes required to achieve their objective.
It was the second failure by the Democrats at rubbishing the former president. The first attempt was in the last Congressional calendar and the latest in the current congressional calendar.
Many observers have described the votes acquitting the former president in the senate trial as a needed coincidence with the Valentine, and a reason for Republicans and Trump's supporters to celebrate love.
Many observers believe have already the impeachment drive against the president as political and an attempt to end his political ascendancy by the establishment politicians. They are saying that the Democratic lawmakers would have a lot of explanation to offer to their constituencies about the reason for rushing into another impeachment effort after the failure of the first attempt, knowing fully well they lack the votes to convict the former president.
Some other observers feel that the lawmakers would need to explain their lack of understanding of the impeachment process as a serious issue and not just something to embark upon as a show of vendetta and vengeance, because many people believe their failure arose from their lack of understanding of the process and utter disrespect for the letters of Constitution regarding impeachment.
Many observers see the development as a story of twice wasting of efforts and taxpayers money pursuing the shadow. These efforts, they say, would have best been devoted to pursue issues beneficial to taxpayers. Observers cite two wrongs in the last impeachment efforts.
The first, they say, is the unconstitutionality of impeaching a president no longer in office, and the second they say is the fact that many Democrats were reported to have committed the same offence of freely expressing their feelings in the past without any recourse to censuring or impeaching themselves.
The Democrats had said they did not want to engage Trump in an election because they felt he could win - before the last impeachment efforts that failed. They said an impeachment was preferable than waiting for an election and allow American voters decide. The impeachment efforts failed.
An election came after a massive uprising from George Floyd's death in the hands of a police officer. The election and the results of the election caused the trouble that led to the last impeachment efforts and the latest fiasco for the Democrats.
