United States: 118th Congress's first hearing is at the Southern border

Kevin McCarthy of the Republican Party was elected the Speaker of the House of Representatives early Saturday morning for the 118 Congress of the United States. McCarthy's emergence happened after midnight when most Americans were asleep, but their representatives were busy with the process that had tasked them for four days.
Highlights of McCarthy's speech include the 118th Congress's first hearing would be at the southern border; defunding the IRS from employing 87000 personnel to pursue Americans, opening the House to the public to enable members of the public witness hearings, taxpayers to receive deserved attention, and for lawmakers to be ready to cooperate in getting America back to the right direction.
Media reports were clear, regardless of political ideology, about the disagreement among members of the Republican Party before McCarty's election. Various outlets reported a Republican Party that was in disarray. The Democratic Party members said the holdout by about 20 members of the party disallowing McCarthy's election was a sign of inability to rule.
But these Republicans said they were exercising their rights and the rights of voters who sent them to Washington. They said Washington was broke, and electing a speaker and allowing the game to continue without a change was not permitted. They wanted a commitment from McCarthy toward that change.
They were careless of media reports that said they lacked an alternative pick for the speakership and the votes. However, in support of the holdout, analysts say Democracy can be messy at times and what Americans saw in those four days, which reportedly happened last 100 years ago, was not strange.
Called members of the Freedom Caucus, these Republicans attracted the nation's attention. Many observers thought they were out to deny McCarthy the speakership. But McCarthy's experience and commitment drew supporters to him outside Congress. He said he was ready for the long haul and careless about how long it took to get the speakership. He was prepared to serve and would remain in the game until favor turned his way, but others were ready to take the service away regardless of his determination and resolve.
It was like two irons pressing against each other. What could have caused notable members of Congress in the same conference with McCarthy to say they could not trust him and that he was part of the swamp and they wanted someone new and not part of the problem?
Therefore, many Americans thought McCarthy had lost the speakership before the ray of hope began to filter that the Freedom Caucus started talking to McCarthy toward reaching an agreement about what they needed to give him a pass. There was no winner or loser but a contract to move America forward.
However, the deal was not disclosed but could be gleaned from the elected Speaker's speech as an iron-clad resolve, beyond human expression, to pursue policies returning America to the right direction by removing the heavy burden on citizens. The moral lesson is watching McCarthy persevere and endure the pain of losing to the last moment before the victory.
