Valentine Day's expectations

"It will be extremely cold in the North East of the United States on Valentine's weekend and meaning people will be home making babies, because the cold will not allow people to go out," a woman talked jokingly about this Valentine weekend and the weather forecast that the weekend will be insanely cold.
"What is wrong with people making love on Valentine's day or weekend and resulting in procreation? Is that not how it is supposed to be?"
It is how some New Yorkers foreshadow how the Valentine will be celebrated in the city and other parts of the North East of the United States, where the weather has been extremely cold in the past few days and where it is still expected to be maddeningly cold this weekend.
Signs of Valentine are already there with men clutching flowers on the streets. As usual every year, restaurants and theaters are expected to make the weekend a source of earning providing for entertainment conscious people.
Many people believe that cold weather or no cold weather, people will still go out to do what they need to do in the spirit of the U.S.- "Got to do what got to be done."
It is true that people go to work when it is insanely cold. At times people compare going out in extremely cold weather to defying fire to do what you need to do in the spirit not letting anything hold you back. And If Valentine day is perceived as a great day, what can only imagine that people will defy anything to have it great.
It is a day seen as a lovely day when many people will do everything they can to reassure others of their love and affection. They express their wish in whatever they can. New love commitments will be made and some old love affairs and commitment will be broken.
It is a day that will remind a lot of people of love affairs in Shakespeare's "As You Like it", that love is sweet and also destructive, breeding joy and sadness. The thought about Shakespeare's play also kindles the thought about the place of music in love on a Valentine's day, because of the line that says, "If music be the food of love, play on." And that in period of agony, music still lifts the spirit.
And in the mode of Shakespeare's play, people who have their love partner's commitment are naturally expected to be happy and those with their partner's commitment questionable, sad. It is also believed that just as millions around the world will be celebrating the Valentine's day, many million others will not give it a thought.

Some men say that Valentine's day celebration has been commercialized and that some women would want men to spend fortune on Valentine's day for reassurance of love and affection. This also means that struggling families will think little about a make believe love celebration but will think more about how to make ends meet.
