Which vaccine is the most important to New Yorkers now?

A middle aged man sits in a D-train from the 34 Street Herald Square station heading to the Bronx, New York. The train speeds past many areas from 59 Street and emerges at 125 Street to his consternation towards the continuation of the journey, and a reminder of a story he had read during a literature class about a journey to nowhere. The man's destination is 180 Street - farther away from the 125 Street. It is his first time to travel towards that direction and on the D-train.
An advertisement inside the train in front of him, directly opposite his seat that talks about what matters to New Yorkers at this time, comes to his attention. The advertisement reads: "This year's FLU VACCINE could be the most important one you ever get." The statement is superimposed on the photograph of a man and a young boy sitting on his legs and directly opposite him.
The middle aged man's consciousness feels that something must be wrong with the advertisement in the days of covid-19. He thinks that the most important vaccine in the news and which people are talking about is the Covid-19 vaccine. On a second note, the man notices another statement in the advertisement that reads: "With Covid-19 still around, it's especially important for you to protect yourself and your loved ones from getting the Flu and needing medical care."
Children under 5, adults over 50, pregnant women or women who may be pregnant, and people with other medical conditions like asthma, diabetes or HIV, are advised to get the FLU vaccine. The advertisement is signed by the New York City, NYC. Members of the public are asked to call 311 or text "Flu" to 877877.
Another fellow on the train expressed interest in the matter. He condemns what he calls the wasting of public money in placing the advertisement, and that even if the advertisement has not cost the city money to place it on the train because the train belongs to the city, the man hours and the efforts amounts to a cost that should have been directed to address other pressing public issues. Because he says there is no pharmacy in New York or the United States that does not inform and encourage their clients to take the Flu vaccine. And that only the dead and the buried people don't use these pharmacies and would lack the knowledge of the information about the Flu vaccine in pharmacies.
The middle aged man and the other fellow both agree that the covid-19 vaccine is the most important and they hope the New York State and the New York City would better direct their attention to get people vaccinated against Covid-19, and to also get people to go back to work. Because according to them, lack of work or sufficient income are equivalents of the Flu and Covid-19, especially in a city with a high standard of living beginning with high rent or mortgage and that the access to income is the only way to survive in the city.
What is currently obtainable in the city is a direct opposite of the city's business activities. Administrators in New York have blamed the current dull moment occasioning government lockdown on business activities on efforts to curb the spread of Covid-19. And people have asked that if Covid-19 has not killed man, why should the government allow the man to die of penury?
