An episcopal priest at the Church of the Redeemed in Astoria, Queens in New York, is reported to have abandoned his wife and marries a man. According to the New York Metro, Rev. Juan Andres Quevedo-Bosch, the archdeacon of Queens, made his decision public on Facebook, after his marriage in a Los Angeles Church.
It is not clear why the the New York Metro has chosen to place the story on page four of its Monday edition, though it says the story has first been published by the New York Post.
Contrary to his earlier position of having been a husband to a woman, he is now a wife to the man in his new life based on his Facebook post. "I am in Miami Beach with my new wife."
He is reported to have turned gay about a month ago and that his decision has put the church into divisions. The archdeacon who is a wife in his new relationship chooses to resign his post, but a petition to ask him to remain in the church surfaced. However, one member of the church is said to have said that because he is in a garb unexpected of people in his calling, people no longer come to church.
Wait! A bishop, Larry Provenzano, in charge of Long Island diocese and Queens, has asked the turncoat to remain, given his support. He said that priests who choose to get into the same sex marriage are allowed their their choice. So,e people has called it church rebranding.
